Since SXSW starts tomorrow I figured I would talk about some artists that are going to playing there. The first is Daughter, who was featured on the All Song's Considered podcast. "Landfill" off her EP, "His Young Heart," sits so perfectly in the blend of sad and angry female singer-songwriter music.
I'm really enjoying the plethora or really great female singer-songwriters lately. The songs are usually so simple and the lyrics on "Landfill" are poignant and painful. Elena Tonra's voice is beautiful and haunting. I would love to see Daughter in live, but at a small venue for sure.
